The Small Congregations Resource Fund (SCRF) provides limited grant subsidies to support the participation of adult members of congregations with 250 or fewer members at URJ sponsored events, which are for the purpose of providing learning opportunities and enhancing leadership skills.
Attendees are considered representatives of their synagogues and are therefore expected to share their event experience with their congregation to help create well-run and spiritually fulfilling congregational communities.
Both the applicant and congregation presidents signatures are required. (If the president is the applicant, another trustees signature is requested.)
Congregations are strongly encouraged to subsidize, to the best of their ability, applicants participation at this event.
The following additional information pertains to grant requests for participation at the 14th Annual Scheidt Seminar, April 26-29, 2012 in Atlanta, GA
Grant applications must be received no later than April 5, 2012. (Grants awarded on a first come-first served basis)
The maximum grant amount awarded will be $ 200.00 (Applies to double occupancy only)
Applicants will be notified of their grant award after registering and prior to attending the program. A check will be mailed to the applicant approximately 4-6 weeks after attending the Scheidt Seminar.
