Mindy B. Davids, RJE, serving on the URJ faculty on behalf of the National Association of Temple Educators (NATE), has worked as the Director of Religious School and
Educational Innovation at Shaaray Tefila since 2006. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Religious Education at Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana,
CA and as the Director of Education at Temple Beth Torah in Melville, NY.
Mindy earned a double Masters degree in Jewish Education and Jewish Communal Service from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR)
and a Bachelors degree in Hebrew Studies from the University of Wisconsin. Mindy has written for the Journal of Jewish Education and has facilitated
several workshops on alternative models for congregational education.
In addition to being a Past President of NATE, Mindy is active in many areas of Reform Jewish life. She was a long-standing member of the URJ's Commission
on Lifelong Learning as well as serving on the vision team and an advisor to the Campaign for Youth Engagement. She has also served as a member of the
clinical faculty of the Rhea Hirsch and New York Schools of Education at HUC-JIR and has been mentoring MA students and educators in the field since 1996.
