The Union is fortunate to receive financial support from each of our member congregations, per the policies adopted by its General Assembly. The Maintenance of Union Membership (MUM) Committee, consisting mainly of volunteers who are congregation members from all over North America, is responsible for applying these policies fairly and equitably. Forty-four percent of all MUM dues go to support the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
The Union's finance team consisting of staff and Trustees, supports the Unions mission by:
Managing resources for mission delivery
Securing the health and safety of the Unions assets, most especially those donated by our many generous supporters
Providing the highest standards of fiscal governance, financial reporting and internal controls
Developing strategies for the ongoing fiscal well-being of the Union
Creating an environment in which operating staff own their budgets, participate in resource allocation, and are responsible for the fiscal management of their respective areas
Below are our most recent audited financial statements and the budget for the current fiscal year.

Maintenance of Union Membership (MUM)
The Committee on Maintenance of Union Membership, known as the MUM Committee, is charged with the responsibility of administering the Proportional Dues Program. This dues program is the method by which the congregational members of the Union for Reform Judaism have agreed to assess themselves in order to provide financial support to the Union and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR).
