Communications Design Intern

This is an unpaid, credit only internship and therefore all applicants must be eligible to earn college credit for the internship.

The Union for Reform Judaism seeks a communications  intern with graphic design skills to join our youth communications team.

 

Description:

  • Design web (90%) and print (10%) assets for the URJ's network of youth programs
  • Contribute ideas for website, email and social media graphics and assist with design and implementation
  • Increase usability and appeal of our websites and email templates through design
  • Help create graphic assets for websites, email and social media, including infographics, banners and other visuals, taking design cues from existing collateral
  • Work on semester-long projects that will be implemented in the organization, like creation of landing pages for Google ad campaigns and design of new email templates

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in graphic design programs, specifically Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (After Effects a plus)
  • Familiarity with and interest in current design trends, including an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • Excellent communication skills: solid grammar, ability to convey message clearly, good telephone manner
  • College level or recent graduate preferred
