Web Content Administrator

This full time position is located in our New York office.

The Web Content Administrator is responsible for content production for all of the URJ’s web properties, including websites, blogs, and media-sharing sites. Reporting to the Digital Media Director, the Administrator responds to requests from the Communications team and from across the organization to refine and update existing content and create new content where needed, and serves as the point person for multimedia production. The Web Content Administrator works to reinforce the brand identity of the URJ and ensure that all online content is accurate, up to date, and in keeping with a high standard of excellence.

Essential Functions:

·         Design new website page layouts, content modules as needed for and

·         Troubleshoot technical issues on all URJ websites

·         Audit website and update weekly to ensure that content is functional, current and adheres to style guidelines

·         Image production for websites as needed

·         Monitor Flickr and YouTube presence and update weekly

·         Create, edit and post videos

·         Edit and post podcasts

·         Serve as webmaster for all URJ web properties, such as and; produce the online version of Reform Judaism magazine



·         Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in web programming, communications or design

·         Experience in maintaining websites and preparing graphics for the web, social media and e-mail

·         Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, Premier, Audacity, Microsoft Office, video editing software

·         Experience with FTP, RSS and Content Management Systems such as Drupal or Joomla
