Development Coordinator (Part-Time) - URJ Camp George
URJ Camp George seeks a dynamic, experienced and ambitious professional to become our Part-time Development Coordinator (12-15 hours/week) in our Toronto office. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the camp's multi-faceted development program. This position will report directly to the Director of Development and will work closely with the camp's lay leadership.

Located near Parry Sound, Ontario (with a business office in
Toronto), URJ Camp George is the Reform Movements only residential summer camp
in Canada. Since its founding in 1999,
Camp George has developed a wonderful reputation in its community and beyond.
Camp George is poised to leverage its reputation amongst potential donors to
raise capital funds for the further development of its site, which would allow
us to attract and accommodate and expanded camper population.

professional to become our Part-time Development Coordinator (12-15 hours/week)
in our Toronto office. The Development
Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the camps
multi-faceted development program. This
position will report directly to the Director of Development and will work
closely with the camps lay leadership.
Two primary avenues have been identified to accomplish Camp
Georges Development goals: Annual Campaigns (Scholarship Fund, Annual
Telethon, Tribute donations, events, etc.) and Major Gift Campaigns (matching
programs, special projects, capital campaigns, etc.). As well, the important
work of cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and donor data management.
Management of Donor Database: Gift processing;
Pulling lists for mailings and online communications; Keeping records
up-to-date; Researching and preparing information regarding prospective donors
Development and Steering Committee Support:
Coordinate all meetings and conference calls for the Development and Steering Committees;
Participate in Fund Development Committee meetings and Steering Committee
meetings (where appropriate); Follow up on actionable items of the Fund
Annual Campaign & Event Support: Prepare and
distribute tribute cards; Assist in the planning and coordination of the Annual
Scholarship Telethon including volunteer management, communications and
logistics; Ensure all monthly gifts are processed in a timely manner; Assist in
the logistics and planning of all special events including managing the
registration process and tracking all RSVPs
Recognition and Stewardship: Oversee the maintenance
and updating of the donor recognition board at camp; Assist the Director of
development in ensuring all donations are properly recognized and acknowledge
in accordance with the Donor Stewardship Plan.
Marketing and Communications: Coordinate large
mailings and e-blasts including setting an appropriate timeline (in
consultation with colleagues), creating on-line materials and preparing a list
of recipients; Assisting with social media planning where appropriate; Ensuring
material on the website related to fundraising and development is up-to-date
and presented in a clear and engaging way
Proven administrative abilities in and office
Experience in fundraising or working in an
Familiarity with Reform Judaism, a meaningful
understanding of Jewish camping and Reform Judaism is highly desirable
Ability to work independently and proactively
Ability to write reports, proposals and other
general correspondence and documents
Ability to establish and follow adequate
financial tracking and reporting systems
Knowledge of Raisers Edge OR ability to learn
