URJ Camp George is the Reform Movement's only residential summer camp in Canada. Since its founding in 1999, Camp George has developed a wonderful reputation in its community and beyond. The Development Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the camp's multi-faceted development program, with the objective of significantly increasing the amount of donor-derived income the camp receives, thus insuring its future. This position will report directly to the Director of Development and will work closely with the camp's lay leadership.

Three primary avenues have been identified to accomplish Camp George's development goals: Year-round Giving Campaigns (Tribute donations, events, etc.), Annual Campaigns (scholarship, camp visits, etc.), and Major Gift Campaigns (matching programs, special projects, capital campaigns, etc.) and, of course, the important work of cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and donor data management.
Essential Functions:
Manage all camp fundraising programs: Work closely with Fund Development Committee, Prepare all communications and public relations for the camp's fundraising efforts administration of all development programs, including the acknowledgement and record-keeping process (in consultation with Development Director)
Donor data management: Management of the Donor Database, making sure all donations are entered and acknowledged properly (in consultation with Development Director) Prepare and research information regarding prospective donors
Additional responsibilities: Prepare and issue tax receipts Follow up on actionable items of the Fund Development Committee Participate in Fund Development Committee meetings Oversee the maintenance of the donor recognition board at camp Organize and prepare details for the annual scholarship telethon Support as necessary the Events Committee Prepare and distribute tribute cards
Qualifications: At minimum, a Bachelor's degree Proven administrative abilities in an office environment Familiarity with Reform Judaism, a meaningful understanding of Jewish camping and Reform Judaism is highly desirable Ability to work independently and proactively Ability to write reports, proposals and other general correspondence and documents Ability to establish adequate financial tracking and reporting systems Knowledge of Raiser's Edge Reports to the Development Director
