New York, November 10, 2005 In response to yesterdays terrorist bombings in Amman, Jordan, Rabbi Eric Yoffie, President of the Union for Reform Judaism, issued the following statement:
We are shocked and saddened by the news of the terrorist bombings in Amman, Jordan. The Union for Reform Judaism stands together with the people of Jordan as they mourn the loss of their fellow citizens. We condemn these horrific and senseless acts, and urge all those committed to achieving peace in the Middle East to join us in denouncing the attacks, which represent a threat to peace and stability throughout the region and the world.
