In response to a deadly string of terrorist attacks today in southern Israel that left seven Israelis dead URJ President Rabbi Eric Yoffie issued the following statement:
We are deeply saddened by today's violent attacks in southern Israel. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims - may the names of the deceased be for a blessing and may those who planned and carried out these vicious assaults be brought to justice.
We urge the Government of the United States to continue working together with the State of Israel to address Israel's security concerns and to advance the cause of peace in the region.
