Contact: Annette Powers

March 20, 2012, New York –The Union for Reform Judaism presents Seder Songs, a collection of 22 tunes for the Passover seder that includes traditional Ashkenazic and Sephardic melodies, as well as new songs from contemporary artists such as Peter and Ellen Allard, Noah Budin, Max Chaiken, Eric Komar, Steven Sher and Peri Smilow. Songs are tailored to children and adults of all ages.

The Seder Songs songbook includes sheet music and two CDs--one with complete songs and another in karaoke format so seder-goers can sing along with the music alone. Songs can also be purchased as digital downloads, as the entire album or individually. The entire Seder Songs collection with songbook and two CDs is $34.95. The two-CD collection is $14.95; a download of the entire album is $10.95; and individual song downloads are $.99 each.

All items are available on the URJ Books and Music website or on iTunes.

"Now we can all bring professional musicianship to the seder table" said URJ Books and Music's publisher and editor-in-chief Michael Goldberg. "Whether celebrating with your family at home or with your congregation at a community seder, we can all learn the tunes to these wonderful Passover melodies by listening to professional artists and then we can sing along together to the music-only karaoke-style versions."
