Registration is now closed for the 2017 URJ Had'rachah Seminar for Lay Leadership in Ritual Life. 

The 2017 Had'rachah Seminar will take place at the URJ's Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) on August 2-6th, 2017. 

The Had'rachah Seminar for Lay Leadership in Ritual Life is open only to congregational leaders from small congregations with no more than one full-time clergy memberThe Had’rachah Seminar teaches participants a variety of skills to help them lead communal worship, lifecycle events and educational opportunities in support of or in place of clergy. Our faculty is composed of rabbis, cantors, and Jewish educators. Participants will learn from them, from URJ staff and from each other.

Costs

  • The cost of attending the URJ Had'rachah Seminar (includes registration, accommodations, food and materials):
    • $345 for a shared room
  • Each congregation will be eligible for a Small Congregation Grant of up to $265, to assist with costs of sending one lay leader to the seminar (if a congregation decides to send two lay leaders, only one participant will be eligible for a grant). After registering, you will receive a link to apply for the grant.
