(Chicago, IL) Remembering the Holocaust as a Path to a Better Future
April 7 is Holocaust Remembrance Day – Yom HaShoah, and at Temple Sholom, we are observing the occasion with a special musical service and a presentation by child survivor and Director of Community Relations for the USC Shoah Foundation, Daisy Miller.
Ms. Miller was born in Yugoslavia and spent the war years hidden in Italy.
Combining her background as a public speaker, and her involvement with the survivor community, Daisy Miller is dedicated to the goals of the USC Shoah Foundation and aims to ensure that the experiences of Holocaust survivors are never forgotten, and that they serve to educate present and future generations about the terrible consequences of unchecked hatred and intolerance.
