The Ralph and Julia Cohen Library of Isaac M. Wise Temple in Cincinnati
has become the repository of the largest special collection of
historically significant books of Jewish content for American children.
Dating back to the mid-19th century, the Shavzin-Carsch Collection
(named for Bess Shavzin and Judith Carsch, Wise Temple librarians
successively for nearly 50 years) includes books, curricula, and
instructional materials for Jewish children. To view the library
