Hello. My name is Jane Taves, and I am the District Chair of the Central District. On behalf of the volunteer lay leadership of our district, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to the web page of our Central District Council.
The District Council is a group of energetic and committed volunteers, who work in partnership with professional staff and URJ North American Board members to bring the services of the Union for Reform Judaism to your congregations. In many areas where you may have questions or could use ideas and support, we have knowledgeable people ready to help. These include Social Action, Leadership Development, Outreach, Membership, Lifelong Learning, Jewish Family Concerns, Small Congregations, World Jewry and Israel, NFTY and Youth Engagement and more.
