CREATE A SEARCH ENGINE

Now go to the Google Custom Search Engine site at http://www.google.com/cse, and click the "Create a Custom Search Engine" button.

 

ENTER SETUP INFORMATION

Enter all the information and select appropriate options in the form (marked with red boxes in screenshot below).  The standard free version of Google Custom Search Engine normally includes ads.  However, nonprofit organizations can be exempted from this.  To read more about this, go here.

To have the results against a white background, select the "Default" style.  Then test out your search engine, to make sure that the results are what you expected.
