Gulf Coast Volunteering  

The Gulf Coast is still in need of volunteers since the 2005 hurricane season. The following resources will help you plan a volunteer trip to the area. Check out our congregation grants, partner organizations information, New Orleans Reform congregations contacts and more.

Congregation Grants Now Available!  
The needs of the New Orleans community and the surrounding area continue to be extensive. The Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism is providing grants for Reform Movement volunteer trips to the Gulf Coast region. Congregations are encouraged to review attached criteria and complete an application.

Volunteer Expeditions
Volunteer Expeditions is a trip-planning service developed to assist Jewish volunteer delegations traveling to New Orleans.

Young Adult (20's and 30's) Gulf Coast Mitzvah Corps, December 21-27, 2008
 
Join fellow Reform Jews in their 20's and 30's for an intensive week of volunteering, study and worship. Together we will help rebuild the city of New Orleans post-Katrina. Keep your eyes open for upcoming registration materials.
