Rabbi Adam Rosenwasser, Congregation Beth Am, Los Altos Hills, CA

I, along with so many others, grew up with Debbie's music as the soundtrack to my childhood. In Rabbinic school, I had the amazing opportunity to get to know this incredible woman a little better. After delivering my senior sermon, Debbie emailed me to correct me about a quote which I had attributed to Woody Allen. She told me this was a quote originally from the Marx Brothers, and then proceeded to tell me that she wanted to get to know me better. I DID get to know her, over Chinese food and watching "A Night at the Opera" at her apartment (my first Marx Brothers movie!), and then over the next few years as one of her students. I only regret that I didn't get to say goodbye. Debbie, we will all miss you so much. Thank you for everything.
