Debbie's music was an inspiration to me back in my NEFTY days, from 1978-1981. Her melodies and interpretations of the text greatly enriched our youth group experience; I can't imagine song sessions without Debbie's music. Post NEFTY, her wonderful songs infused our chavurah, and later synagogue services, with ruach, spirituality and warmth. My husband and I had the opportunity to see Debbie perform live and speak to her afterward; she transformed all of us in attendance with her voice, soul, and spirit. Debbie was a shining light, and will be missed greatly.
