Larry Karol, Temple Israel, Dover, NH

I have always had my tape recorder (or other recording device) at conventions in case there was some song, or insight, that I wanted to have at my fingertips.

Like many others, I had a succession of touching points over the years - CAJE, Biennials, Hava Nashira - and a CCAR convention. I still have all these recordings which now bring Debbie's gift of song - and leading many others in song - to life. I feel fortunate to have seen her perform many times, to learn from her as a songleader/liturgist/songwriter, but most importantly, to see how she encouraged us to build community. I am sending several recordings that I treasure from my collection
1) A medley of three songs from a performance at CCAR in 1987 - B'ruchot Habaot, Kaddish D'Rabbanan and Oseh Shalom.
2) L'chi Lach as performed at CCAR in 1987
3) Shelter of Peace from CAJE in 1992
4) Hal'luyah (Va'anachnu N'vareich Yah) from CAJE in 1992
Through Debbie's music and inspiration, we are "One people seeking justice, freedom, hope and peace."
L'shalom,
Rabbi Larry Karol
