The following additional information pertains to grant requests for participation at the Education Summit at the 71st URJ North American Biennial in National Harbor, MD (Washington D.C. area) December 14-18, 2011.
The Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ) is sponsoring Education Summit Scholarships providing limited grant subsidies of $350 to support the attendance and participation at the Education Summit.
Grants are need based and priority will be given to those who are participating in a pilot program, attending the Summit as part of a team from his/her congregation or organization, and those presenting at workshops or the poster session.
Attendees are considered representatives of their synagogues or organizations and are therefore expected to share their event experience with their congregation/organization to help create fulfilling opportunities for Reform Jewish teens.
Congregations or organizations are strongly encouraged to subsidize, to the best of their ability, applicants participation at this event.
Grant applications must be received no later than December 1, 2011, and are considered on a first come-first served basis.
A maximum of two grants, of $350.00 each, will be awarded per congregation.
Applicants will be notified of their grant award after registering and prior to attending the Biennial. A check will be mailed to the applicant approximately 4 weeks after attending the Biennial.
Please submit a separate application for each participant.
