Union for Reform Judaism / Lifelong Jewish Learning / Joint Education Symposium
Lifelong Jewish Learning

From Monday, December 10 to Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in San Diego, immediately preceding the Union for Reform Judaism North American Biennial Convention, Jewish educators and educational leaders from across the Reform Movement engaged in conversation and learning about the perceived differences in the way males and females of all ages learn and participate in our Jewish educational settings. In considering how to best maximize learning and participation of all the males and females in our community, we examined the impact of gender on Jewish involvement and learning in formal and informal settings. Through exploration of current research and sharing successes and challenges, we began to understand the issue and develop strategies to respond. More about the symposium...
