Greening Reform Judaism endeavors to promote an awareness of environmental considerations and environmentally responsible actions, all grounded in Jewish tradition and teachings.
Green is the new black these days its everywhere you look and that can be overwhelming. Greening Reform Judaism is a conduit through which congregational leaders and members can learn about environmental responsibility and obtain greening tools and resources they can use in their synagogues and homes.
This website is a central portal for all Union for Reform Judaism green resources. These resources include publications for managing your congregation; action steps you can take to start living green right now; text studies from the Religious Action Center; sermon starters and responsa; and much more.
In addition, Greening Reform Judaism understands that one of the best ways to learn about any topic is to share ideas with peers and colleagues. Included in this site are congregational best practices, allowing congregations to learn from one another. All of the green programs from program banks you are used to using, like Communicate! and the RACs program bank, have been collected and are presented here for your convenience. Plus, our Greening RJ listserv gives you the chance to have an "email conversation" with your fellow greening enthusiasts at other Union congregations. Sign up today!
