Renée Frank Holtz, RJE Renee Frank Holtz earned her PhD in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University, an MSEd in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University and MA in Judaic Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University. She is currently the Coordinator of the Middle Schools Center for Academic Support at the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester and is an adjunct professor at the graduate schools at Fordham University and Manhattanville College, and will begin teaching at the Academy for Jewish Religion this spring. She is the author of Hineni, the Family Companion, published by Behrman House, has written various articles, and is a contributing author to texts on Jewish education.
Birgit R. Sacher, RJE Birgit Sacher got her start in education as a member of the staff and faculty at Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute. She received her Masters Degree in Jewish Education in 1997 from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. Birgit has served as Director of Education at Congregation Sinai in Milwaukee and a family educator at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills. Birgit currently works as an educational consultant in Santa Rosa, California.
Rabbi Jonathan E. Blake Rabbi Blake is Associate Rabbi at Westchester Reform Temple in Scarsdale, New York, having served at Temple Beth-El in Providence, Rhode Island from 2000 to 2003. He sits on the HUC-CCAR Joint Commission for Sustaining Rabbinic Education and is involved in the Westchester Global Coalition on Poverty and AIDS. Rabbi Blake is a summa cum laude graduate of Amherst College, where he majored in English literature. In 2000, he received his Rabbinical Ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati. Rabbi Blake serves as an Alumni Recruiter for HUC-JIR.
