FIVE EASY WAYS TO ENCOURAGE ATTENDANCE
AT YOUR ANNUAL MEETING

  1. Hold the meeting on Sunday morning when the religious school is in session.

  2. Use the meeting as an occasion to honor volunteers (National Volunteer Week is April 18–24).

  3. Provide entertainment: Have a cantorial concert or enlist your adult or children’s choir.

  4. Make the meeting a temple “event,” during which congregational awards are bestowed, officers are installed, etc.

  5. FOOD, FOOD, FOOD: Feature a catered dinner, a bagels and lox brunch, or homemade desserts.

Your annual meeting will be well attended if committed members use it as an opportunity to create, build, and strengthen community.
