Introduction to Judaism
A course for anyone interested in exploring Judaism—interfaith couples, those considering conversion and Jews looking for adult-level basics—to the fundamentals of Jewish thought and practice. Topics include Jewish holidays and life cycle events, theology and prayer, Israel, history and Hebrew.

All Classes are held weekly from 6:30 - 8:45 PM. The course is scheduled for 18 weeks and includes basic Hebrew. The registration fee is $450.00 The tuition fee allows for either one or two people to attend, and we encourage couples to attend together. There is a reduced fee of $400 for members of URJ congregations.

We suggest sending in the registration form and payment as early as possible. Since class size is limited, sign-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please mail check and registration form to:

Sponsoring Rabbi:

To supplement the class experience, we strongly suggest that you work with a sponsoring rabbi/cantor from a local Reform synagogue. We have established a program to help you connect with a rabbi or cantor in your area who will sponsor you for the duration of the course. If you are converting to Judaism please note that we require you that you meet with a sponsoring rabbi/cantor. The third page of the registration form is for you rabbi/cantor to fill out. You can still register for an upcoming class even if you have not yet met with your sponsoring rabbi/cantor. If you need help finding a sponsoring rabbi please call Adina Matusow at the number above and she will be happy to recommend someone near where you live.
