September 21, 2010 - Sharing your Harvest with Others: Sukkot and Social Justice
Join us as we learn about two successful congregational food justice programs: An edible garden that is helping attract new synagogue members and build stronger interfaith relations and an educational program that focuses on food, Judaism and sustainability.
Led by Social Action Specialist Naomi Abelson, Worship Specialist Rabbi Sue Levi Elwell, Rachel Cohen of the Religious Action Center and Robert Nevel of KAM Isaiah-Israel in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL. We will also be joined by Rabbi Joel Simonds of University Synagogue in Los Angeles, CA.
This is part 1 of 5 of our Green Virtual Beit Midrash series, a collaboration with the RAC.
