October 11, 2011 - Health Insurance for Synagogue Employees and Health Care Tax Credits

This webinar will focus on health insurance options for synagogue employees. First It will also examine  how Health Benefits Cafeteria plans and Health Savings Accounts might be economically advantageous to both synagogues as an employer as well as to synagogue employees as the insured.

Secondly, the webinar will also examine how the Health Care Reform legislation that was passed this year can provide a "Small Business Healthcare Tax Credit" to the many Reform synagogues. For synagogues as well as all tax exempt organizations, the Tax Credit can be up to 25% of health insurance premiums that it has paid.

The presenters will be Scott Bellin, a Senior Account Executive at T&H Benefits. Scott assists many organizations, including the Union for Reform Judaism, to find the best health insurance programs in terms of both price and service. Rob Berkovitz, a Finance Specialist at the URJ Congregational Consulting Group is quite knowledgeable about the new Health Care Reform legislation and the tax credits program.
