What past attendees are saying...
It never ceases to amaze me how each Kallah makes me feel welcome and transforms me into a welcoming soul.
"The music at Kallah is superb.
Kallah is the one opportunity to keep me current in worship practices and to deepen my understanding of Jewish scholarship.
I not only feel rejuvenated, I feel Re JEWvinated.
"My first URJ Kallah experience exceeded my expectations for learning, worship and connecting with other Reform Jews. The program ran very smoothly (thanks to the URJ staff); the leaders for the educational workshops, worship services and other programming gave us their knowledge and caring; and all participants were friendly and helpful. From the first moment, I felt that I was a vital part of this community. Prior to Kallah, I had been grappling with the meaning of Shabbat 'rest'; that is, how do I use my time on Shabbat after Torah study in the morning until the end of Shabbat and conversely, how am I a 'good' Reform Jew during the rest of the week? Since the theme of this year's Kallah was "living a Reform Jewish life", I came away from Kallah with many new ideas of what this means for me."

Small Congregations Kallot
No two congregations are exactly alike, and congregations of different sizes have varying needs. With this in mind, the URJ works hard to provide a variety of services tailored to the unique needs of smaller congregations. Whether your synagogue has 25 or 250 member units, our Small Congregations Kallot will address the most pressing issues facing small congregations today.
Join us as we study together, network with like-minded lay leaders and learn from a vibrant community of committed learners and knowledgeable teachers. Topics include leadership development, finances and outreach.
The following Kallot have been scheduled (additional information coming):

Pre-Kallah track for teachers and facilitators of adult learning: Adult Jewish Living and Learning Journeys Project
Faculty to be determined
If you plan or facilitate adult learning in your congregation, join us in Cincinnati for an outstanding 2-day workshop, Wednesday, August 8-Thursday, August 9. For volunteer and professional teachers and planners of adult learning, this workshop will focus on the free online lessons of the Adult Jewish Living and Learning Project. We will learn about adult learning theory and marketing adult learning programs; study with scholars who consulted on the learning modules; spend time investigating the lessons and figuring out the best ways to make them succeed in your congregation; and visit the exceptional American Jewish Archives. This program is highly subsidized by the Covenant Foundation, so the cost is only $36/person for room, board and program. Kallah participants can register for this workshop as a pre-Kallah program, and non-Kallah participants are welcome as well. Questions? Contact Vicky Farhi.
