This journal provices the needed materials for adult Jewish
learning directly to congregations. Our goal is to promote and share
the best programs our Movement can offer, to provide models for
excellent adult Jewish learning, and to encourage more and better
education for adult learners in our synagogues.
Daf Kesher
This newsletter for Hebrew teachers includes best practices from the field and articles in easy Hebrew. It is written and compiled by our Hebrew Specialist, Mira Angrist.
Torah at the Center is a publication aimed at professional Jewish
educators. It assumes familiarity with educational and Judaic language
and ideas. We devote each issue to a single theme and provide articles
and lessons by scholars and practitioners.
Galilee Diary
Written by Marc Rosenstein, a rabbi and Jewish educator who made aliyah in 1990, the Galilee Diary is designed especially for Reform
congregational schools to teach about Israel, by means of a more
personal viewpoint. Rather than limit our teaching about Israel to
crises or the "victimization" of Reform Jews there, this diary offers
an alternative perspective -- personal and direct.
V'shinantam
V'shinantam, the Union for Reform Judaism's national teacher's newsletter
is divided into three sections. Torah contains thoughts and ideas for us
as teachers to help support and elevate us in our holy work.
Avodah will be teaching ideas and suggestions to use in our
classrooms. Gemilut Chasadim contains information about a specific
mitzvah and suggests opportunities to involve our students and us in the work of
helping others, in and out of the classroom.
