What I am proposing is that we rededicate ourselves to the work of expanding our membership rolls and retaining our current members. …while our professionals have a critical role to play, the primary work of welcoming strangers, embracing seekers, and involving current members is done by empowered laypeople who become ambassadors of Judaism. Communities, after all, are not built by professionals; they are built by us all.

These program offerings will create connections among members, lead to meaningful relationships and give your lay leaders opportunities to create a community where affiliation becomes a sacred covenant between member and congregation.
