Membership and Outreach is not only about reaching out to the unaffiliated. Our work can only be strengthened by sharing perspectives and resources with other synagogue leaders. Below you find many ways to network with others.

Outreach and Membership Listservs

• Sparks and Ruach: Are you a leader in 20s and 30s programming in your synagogue? Join this list and communicate on a regular basis with other leaders across North America. Share programming ideas, engage in brainstorming and problem solving sessions, and contribute to the collective wisdom on serving this very important synagogue constituency.

• TalkingOutreach: Reach out in welcome to individuals and families of all varieties. Help to integrate them into your warm, caring and meaningful Jewish community. Join our TalkingOutreach listserv. Here you will find a rich conversation. Subjects range from alternative ways to conceptualize and structure Outreach efforts, to specific program ideas.

• TalkMembership: Our TalkMembership listserv will help you to reach out in welcome to the unaffiliated in your area. Share practical tips and wisdom with membership professionals and lay leaders from across North America in this online forum.

Monthly Outreach and Membership Newsletters

The Department of Outreach and Membership sends out two monthly newsletters, one for outreach and one for membership. If you are an outreach or membership chair and you are not receiving these important emails from our department, contact us at outreach@urj.org and we will add you to our list and to the conversation! Be sure to include your congregation name, city and state in your email.
