SALUTE TO ISRAEL PARADE

SALUTE TO ISRAEL PARADE, SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2008

  • This year’s SALUTE TO ISRAEL PARADE will march up Fifth Avenue on Sunday, June 1st.  Once again, ARZA and the URJ are coordinating a cluster group of Union for Reform Judaism congregations and affiliates and look forward to your participation with our group.
  • The Parade’s theme this year is “The Story of 60” and our cluster group’s theme is CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF REFORM ZIONISM.  We will have highlights of key dates and events of Reform Zionism from 1948-2008 displayed throughout our group to share our proud moments and milestones!

    NEW THIS YEAR!
  • We will be meeting first (for those congregations who would like to join us) at CONGREGATION EMANUEL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK for bagels and coffee and an ARZA Program – ISRAEL at 60!  From Congregation Emanuel (65th Street & 5th Avenue) we will walk, as a group, over to our Parade-designated line up spot in the 50’s.  The Parade staff will give us our exact line up location and time in mid-April.
  • To offset the cost of Parade participation, we have created the following fee schedule (same prices as last year)

Congregations with up to 300 member units - $90
    300-599 member units - $175
    600-999 member units - $300
    1,000+ member units - $450

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact
the New Jersey-West Hudson Valley Council Regional Office at 201.722.9090

We look forward to your participating and to celebrating with you!

Regional E-newsletter
April 2008 Edition

Message From Rabbi Marcus L. Burstein, Acting Regional Director

Shalom, Shalom!

A number of pieces of interest have crossed my desk recently, so I thought it would be helpful to send them on to you. Our region has not had an electronic regional newsletter before, so why not start now? At the moment, there is no plan as to the frequency of these e-newsletters – we’ll send them out when we have information to share.MORE
