Basic Judaism Courses in San Francisco
THE COURSE is a pathway for the adult learner who wishes to discover or deepen his or her Jewish knowledge. It is for Jews who wish to learn more about Judaism, non-Jews who are marrying a Jewish partner, and people who are considering conversion to Judaism.

 Introduction to Judaism

Jewish Community Center of San Francisco

 

Designed for Jews who seek a deeper connection with their heritage and for non-Jews wanting a greater understanding of Judaism, this course offers an opportunity to study texts, try Jewish practices, socialize and gain insight that is relevant to your life.  Topics include ethics, the Sabbath and holidays, prayer, dietary laws, life cycle events and others.  Two Shabbat or holiday meals will be scheduled with the group.

 

Instructor: Rabbi David Levinsky, Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Life at the JCCSF

Introduction to Judaism is a course of instruction for couples and individuals in the basic principles and practices of Judaism.  It is designed to provide an entry point for people of all backgrounds to participate more fully in Jewish life.

If you are curious about Judaism, if you would like to explore Jewish life and thought, if someone you love is Jewish and you want to know more, this class is for you!
