For congregations that are interested in making full-time early education a priority.
Communities of Practice (CoP) convene cohorts of congregational leaders for long-term, innovative learning about a topic of shared interest. Participants learn from experts, including opportunities to ask big questions, and share ideas and best principles. The curriculum includes face-to-face and virtual gatherings, e-learning, and coaching from URJ staff.
Using lessons learned, participants design and implement experiments for their own congregations through which they learn to take risks, benefit from successes and challenges, and evaluate and share their results. The experiments’ outcomes are intended serve as a catalyst to help congregations transform into welcoming communities of meaning and purpose, as well as expand the knowledge base of the field and the Reform Movement.
Applications for the URJ’s Post-B’nai Mitzvah Innovators Community of Practice (CoP) are open through April 21st, 2017.
The URJ’s Post-B’nai Mitzvah Innovators CoP will bring together congregational leaders that have imagined or launched innovations. This CoP will support proven innovators in furthering their existing or envisioned experiments related to post b'nai mitzvah.
Through an 18-month process, beginning in September 2017, participating congregational teams of professionals and lay leaders will build a network of peer support and guidance, share best principles and practices, and continue to strengthen post-b’nai mitzvah involvement. Participants will share measurable results with the cohort and the larger Reform Movement.
Participation includes learning webinars, monthly consulting group sessions, ongoing individual coaching, and an in-person gathering, which will take place on March 11-13th, 2018.
This CoP is being offered in collaboration with ARJE.
