The South District supports congregations in 11 states in the Southern United States and the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. We partner with clergy, congregational staff, congregational lay leadership and URJ leadership to identify and meet congregational needs through URJ resources and programming.
The South District includes approximately 200 congregations ranging in size from 7 member households at the smallest to 2,482 member households at the largest. There are approximately 56,514 total households in the South District.
