The Union for Reform Judaism strives to help congregations build, develop and maintain well-run, spiritually fulfilling congregations, where the sacred informs the practical and the practical creates the sacred. In cooperation with the National Association of Temple Administrators (NATA), we develop materials and provide consultations to congregations throughout North America.

Among the services and publications offered by the department are:

  • Telephone and in-person consultations
  • Board workshops on a variety of topics
  • More than 20 full-length publications related to all areas of synagogue management
  • Several pamphlets on related topics
  • Inside Leadership, a monthly briefing for synagogue board members
  • Discussion group listservs
Responding to Difficult Financial Times

As the financial crisis continues to affect the world's economy, we recognize that, particularly in some communities, it likely will have far reaching implications for congregations and their members. Learn how the Union for Reform Judaism is available to provide resources and assistance to support congregations and members during these difficult times.

This webinar is designed to help synagogues gain knowledge on how to increase revenue and decrease expenses during difficult economic times. The presenters will be Ellen Franklin, Executive Director of Temple Judea in Tarzana, CA and Robert Isaacs, Executive Director of Mainline Reform Temple Beth Elohim in Wynnewood, PA.
