One Congregation's Approach to Using Mishkan T'filah for Family Services

For family services we went through Mishkan T'filah (MT) and copied the pages we wanted, scanned them electronically and created a PowerPoint slide show from them. We use that for family services and a similar PowerPoint for our Religious School T'filah. After some feedback from attendees at the first family services we put out twenty or so copies of the MT for those who feel more comfortable holding a book.

 

Our PowerPoints are very basic, and while we have enough copies of MT for our family services we find the kids pay more attention (for better or worse) to words on a screen and without books to fiddle with, bend pages in...
