Temple Beth Shalom, an innovative and inclusive Reform congregation of 750 diverse family units in Needham, is currently seeking Hebrew and Judaic faculty to teach in our 6-12th Grade Learning Program.
Educators work in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are looking for experienced, dynamic, and dedicated Jewish educators to create an environment that supports our vision with our students and families through engaging, meaningful, and relevant learning experiences. Applicants should have formal or informal teaching experience, a love of Judaism, and a passion for working with variety of learners. Applicants should also have a strong knowledge of prayer Hebrew, Torah, holidays, midot, and Jewish history. Applicants should also be comfortable using technology as an educational tool and communicating via social media. Own transportation is required.
Responsibilities include: developing positive relationship with learners and their families, working collaboratively with your colleagues and the Director of Teen Learning, professional development meetings, and willingness to teach in a Reform Jewish environment.
Learning programs and classes meet on a combination of Sundays in the late morning, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings. Competitive salaries commensurate with experience.
