Lenore Mass is a past president of KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation in Chicago. She serves on the North American Advisory Board and International Assembly of the World Union for Progressive Judaism, the international organization of Reform and Progressive Judaism worldwide. She is a member of the North American Board of Trustees of the Union for Reform Judaism. She served on the Board of Olin Sang Ruby Union Institute Camp for over 20 years. In addition, she represents the URJ on the Jewish Community Relations Council and sits on the Israel & Overseas Commission of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.
After URJ training, Lenore has enjoyed working with congregations, facilitating board workshops and mentoring congregations participating in the URJ's benchmarking and assessment program.
Lenore is a cellist with the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest; wife of Dan Mass, proud mother of architect Sharon Faier and Cantor Joanna Alexander, and grandmother of Maya, Ben, Evelyn, Brianna, and Brian.
