URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy

The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) announces the establishment of a second URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy, with support from a generous grant from the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Jim Joseph and AVI CHAI Foundations. This exciting new camp will be the URJ’s 18th camp across North America offering young people immersive Jewish experiences within premier camping environments.

The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) proudly announces that Greg Kellner is the recipient of a 2016 Covenant Foundation Pomegranate Prize (link), joining four other recipients recognized this year for their tremendous promise, focused leadership, and willingness to take risks in their burgeoning careers.

URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy is where imagination, mind, and Judaism are all present as 5th – 10th grade campers energetically and joyfully learn Jewish values while participating in robotics, video game design, web and graphic design, earth and sky, forensics, digital film, and rocketry.

With just a week until the launch of the URJ’s 2015 camp season, there’s innovative programming on tap, all of which promises to make this summer the best ever! Throughout the season, we’ll engage 13,000+ campers and young adults from more than 660 congregations (along with 600 congregational clergy, educators, and youth professionals who will serve as faculty) in a wide assortment of initiatives – old favorites and creative newcomers – making this our eighth consecutive year of growth.
