Call for Submissions for New Shabbat Anthology

musical notes on sheet music for the Jewish high holidays like Yom Kippur and Rosh HaShanah

Transcontinental Music Publications, now a division of the American Conference of Cantors, invites composers to submit new musical settings of Shabbat texts for consideration for one of its first new projects, Shabbat Anthology Volume VIII, the latest volume in its highly regarded and widely used collection of music for Shabbat worship. This anthology collection, with seven previous volumes, presents the latest Shabbat music from composers throughout the Jewish music world.

Selected pieces will be included in the anthology, to be published in spring or summer 2016. Selections will be chosen by a committee assembled by the ACC. The deadline for submissions is 4:00 pm EDT on Monday, January 18, 2016. Visit Transcontinental Music's submission page to see all criteria and specifics before submitting.
