Rabbi Rick Jacobs, president of the Union for Reform Judaism, joined thousands of mourners from Israel and around the world today in paying his respects to former Israeli President Shimon Peres, z"l, whose casket currently lies in the plaza of the Knesset. While visiting the Knesset, Jacobs, who recently issued a moving statement on the former president's passing, recorded the following a message of hope from outside the Knesset.
May President Peres's memory continue to be for a blessing for the State of Israel, for the entire Jewish people, and, indeed, for the whole world.
