The 2018 URJ Had'rachah Seminar will take place at the URJ's Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) on July 11-15th, 2018.
The URJ Had'rachah Seminar for Lay Leadership in Ritual Life is open only to congregational leaders from small congregations with no more than one full-time clergy member. The URJ Had’rachah Seminar teaches participants a variety of skills to help them lead communal worship, lifecycle events, and educational opportunities in support of or in place of clergy. Our faculty is composed of rabbis, cantors, and Jewish educators. Participants will learn from them, from URJ staff and from each other.
The cost of attending the URJ Had'rachah Seminar (includes registration, accommodations, food, and materials): $90
The pricing for attending the URJ Had'rachah Seminar has been generously subsidized by the Small Congregations Grants. The grant has already been applied to the cost listed above, so there is no need to apply.
The program will take place at URJ Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute. Participants will stay in adult housing facilities at the camp.
The closest airport is the General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee, WI. However, some participants choose to fly through Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). There is no transportation provided between the camp and either airport.
Participants should plan to arrive at the camp on Wednesday, July 11th, no earlier than 3pm. The program will begin at 5pm.
