Registration is now closed for the 2016 Had'rachah Seminar.

The 2016 Had'rachah Seminar will take place on July 13-17th, at the URJ's Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) camp Oconomowoc, WI. The program will start on July 13th at 5pm, and will end on July 17th at 11am.

Cost (includes registration, room, food and materials):

  • $330 (accommodations will be double occupancy rooms at the URJ's OSRUI camp)
  • The Small Congregations Resource Fund (SCRF) provides financial assistance to members of small congregations attending the Had'rachah Seminar. One member per URJ congregation is eligible for a grant of up to $230 (if your congregation is sending two lay leaders, only one would be eligible for a grant). After registering, complete the SCRF Grant application. For any questions, contact SCRF@urj.org.

The Had’rachah Seminar is open only to lay leaders from small congregations; those which have a single clergy member or lack full time clergy. The Had’rachah Seminar teaches participants a variety of skills to help them lead communal worship, lifecycle events and educational opportunities in support of or in place of clergy. Our faculty is composed of rabbis, cantors, and Jewish educators. Participants will learn from them, from URJ staff and from each other.
