Event Details

Effectively running a 21st century congregation requires leaders to focus on their foundational statements, governance structure, leadership culture, and leadership development work.

Join us for an informational webinar on Wednesday, March 13, 8pm ET, to learn more about a new URJ learning opportunity, intended to help your congregation delve into these four best principles of governance. This learning opportunity is comprised of two offerings:

  1. URJ Congregational Governance Course, for those looking to learn about the best principles of congregational governance. The course is comprised of four modules, each roughly requiring a 60-minute time commitment.
  2. URJ Congregational Governance Community of Practice (CoP), for those ready to make change in their congregations. The CoP will officially convene congregations for 10-12 months of intensive learning, networking, and experimentation.

Logistics and Dates

  • Taking the online course is a pre-requisite for applying for the CoP. We encourage your leadership to register for the course whether or not you are interested in or ready for the CoP.
  • Registration for the URJ Congregational Governance Course is open through March 25. The course will launch on April 1.
  • Congregations that successfully complete the course will be invited to apply for the CoP. The CoP will launch on August 12.
