Using biblical texts, this session will analyze situations in which past leaders said "yes" and "no" to leadership callings and will assist leaders in making strategic decisions regarding what they consent to take on. The session will touch upon situations in which saying "no" will enable congregational leaders to say a "bigger yes" to responsibilities that truly speak to their passions, talents and desire to make a difference. It will be presented by Dr. Erica Brown, associate professor at George Washington University and Director of its Mayberg Center for Jewish Education and Leadership, who is also the Community Scholar for The Jewish Center in Manhattan.
This session is the second of three in the 2016-17 URJ Scholar Series.
Sign up for this session, which will take place on November 30th, 8pm ET.
