Rabbi Greenvald began as URJ director of Israel engagement this past September. He was inspired to do work about the relationship between Israel and global Jewish communities while spending two years as a Jerusalem Fellow at the Mandel Leadership Institute in Israel during the second intifada. Reuven received his rabbinic ordination and MA from JTS, his BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He recently moved to the Upper West Side of Manhattan and is an active member of NYC’s Congregation Beit Simchat Torah.
Shira Hoffer is a sophomore from NFTY NE. She attends Gann Academy in Waltham, MA, and was a participant at Kutz '17. She is a member of the NFTY National Israel Engagement Committee and was a Co-Chair of Teen Engagement for the URJ Biennial 2017. When not involved in Jewish activities, Shira can be found playing volleyball, spending time with her friends and family, or enjoying the beauty of nature.
