On December 1, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the most consequential abortion rights case in generations. The threat is real: Mississippi has asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. The case is about more than the right to legal abortion: nearly 50 years of precedent is at stake as is our fundamental right to live with autonomy, dignity, and equality.

This online, beginner-level class is designed for anyone wanting to learn or review the Hebrew alphabet and become comfortable decoding Shabbat and holiday blessings and becoming familiar with recurring Hebrew words and phrases in Shabbat and holiday prayers. This course assumes no prior Hebrew experience, and all are welcome.

This class is for beginner Hebrew readers. No previous experience is necessary. At the end of 13 sessions, you will be able to read Hebrew if you keep up with the classes and practice in between sessions.
