The URJ's music programs are held at Olin Sang Ruby Institute (OSRUI) Camp in Oconomowac, Wisconsin.

Shabbat Shira
October 31-November 3, 2019

Shabbat Shira is a Jewish music retreat which brings together those who love to teach and lead music, and those who love to sing, for three days of community, learning, and Jewish music.

This program provides an opportunity to refresh and rejuvenate through relationship building and joyful singing. Faculty include Cantor Rosalie Will, Merri Lovinger Arian, Josh Nelson, Noam Katz and Michelle Citrin.

Machon Shira

Machon Shira, a new program, is designed for URJ Camp songleaders, young adult Hillel and day camp songleaders to focus on songleading technique, repertoire, leadership, and worship.  This program builds on the 28 year success of Hava Nashira, to focus more directly on young adult songleading.  Faculty include Dan Nichols, Alan Goodis and Cantor Rosalie Will.

Hava Nashira is the premier songleading program of the Reform Movement, serving diverse populations from a variety of movements, communities, camps and congregations. With a focus on leading and crafting meaningful worship, as well as teaching songleading for religious school and camps, Hava Nashira brings the best in professional songleaders and worship teachers to hundreds of participants every year.

Faculty have included Dan Nichols, Noah Aronson, Cantor Ellen Dreskin, Shira Kline, Jeff Klepper, Ellen Allard, Cantor Rosalie Boxt, Nava Tehila, Joey Weisenberg, Josh Nelson and more!
