Pursuing Justice: Becoming a Community of Action (with the Religious Action Center)

This Community of Practice – a joint offering of the Union for Reform Judaism and the Religious Action Center (RAC) – helps synagogue leaders engage their congregations more deeply in social justice endeavors. With support from the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign, participants explore the critical elements of any social justice campaign – education, action, and advocacy. They began by studying global health and malaria prevention as a case study, and are receiving support in identifying their own local areas of interest. Participants develop new ideas, experiment, build relationships with elected officials and engage new social justice leaders. Through this Community of Practice, congregations influence social justice issues, and see the concept of tikkun olam strengthened in their communities.

Registration is now closed for the current cycle of this CoP.
