URJ Communities of Practice

The URJ Becoming a Community of Action Community of Practice, offered jointly by the URJ and the Religious Action Center, brought together seven congregations that wanted to engage more deeply in social justice endeavors. With support from the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign, participants explored the critical elements of any social justice campaign, identified their own areas of interest, and experimented. It took place in 2015-2016.

The URJ Moving Justice to the Center of Your Congregation Community of Practice, offered jointly by the URJ and the Religious Action Center, brought together 11 congregations that wanted to embed social justice into their culture and increase their social justice impact. Participants identified a social justice topic that their community is excited about, and launched a campaign to move towards social change. It launched in 2016 and will culminate in 2018.
